This Weekend Activity

Hello everyone,

I would like to say thank you to Amy & Carole for following me.

Well this weekend the weather hasn't been brilliant so I thought it was about time to do some crafting.

Saturday morning I decided it was time to try out my Cameo and attach a design to a T-shirt, I have been thinking and toying with this for so long I couldn't believe how straightforward it was.  The picture below shows the design I chose from the Silhouette site, I used heat set polyflex from MDP Supplies, they do all sorts of materials for the Cameo & Robo.

My Mum asked me to make a card for my Aunt's 50th Wedding Anniversary as she wanted something special.  This card when closed is A4, the sentiment is from Pinflair and I made the toppers on the front from my crafty stash, I also made the danglies that hung inside the pop out section.  The little frog was for my Aunt who is mad about frogs.

The next card is the card I made for my Aunt, using the Keepsake Bookatrix board, a pinflair sentiment and  a topper made from my crafty stash.  Again I just had to put on a little frog.

Apparently when my Aunt received the card she got all emotional with the wording on both cards.

This card was made for my Step Mother In Law for her 80th birthday, again the card was A4 when closed and uses the same pop out technique inside.  This card closed using two strands of co-ordinating ribbon.

This card was for one of my sister in law's 50th birthday,  purple is her favourite colour and I used Hunkydory toppers on this A4 pop out card.

I am today working on a commission I have for a card for a Civil Ceremony and I will post when I have completed it.  I am also hoping to have a play with my new toy, the Meltpot.

June 2013 Card Making Workshop

Hello everyone!  Hope you are well and enjoying the bit of sunshine we are having today while is lasts.

I have posted a picture of the card made last night at the workshop kindly put on by Amy from Out of the Blue in Chipping Sodbury and Carole.

Been and had my hair done this morning, it was totally overdue and looks a lot neater now.  I have a made a lot of cards in the past and will post some of them on here over the next few weeks.

I have recently purchased a Meltpot (I'm blaming Carole again, lol) I just need to get some UTEE and/or bees wax to melt in it and make some embellishments for my cards, I'm looking at doing soemthing Christmassy with it for this years Christmas Cards.  I will let you know how I'm getting on.

Must go now and post my Dad's birthday card so he gets it for the 25th, the picture is below

I have used a Hunkdory topper, Marian Swirl Die, and a Papermania Stamp for the Greeting, which is coloured in with Spectrum Noirs.

Speak again soon, bye for now!

First Blog

Well here goes, my first every Blog ...........

I love papercrafting, usually card making using a number of different techniques.

I have been attending a workshop in Chipping Sodbury that is hosted by Amy who owns a local shop called Out of The Blue.  Amy is assisted by Carole and they create their own version of cards, but using the same colours and stamps.  Carole has seen a few of my cards that I have photographed and stored on my phone and has persuaded me to start a blog.

Card Making Workshop that Amy & Carole hosted this workshop coincided with the Chipping Sodbury Festival on 14th June 2013.  The background was stamped and embossed and layered on to black card.  the flower was die cut and then teased into shape, foam pads were used between the layers of the petals and topped off with a  button with a piece of ribbon threaded through it and tied in a bow.  The base of the card was layered using embossed card and the sentiment was the same stamp, but on black card and using white embossing powder,   Black and white ribbons twisted and two hearts attached with another ribbon finish the card off.

This card I made for my Father, it was stamped with a stamp from the Flipping Men range, I made the card using my Cameo Silhouette, I just love this shape card.  I coloured this in with Spectrum Noirs and the blue background is Cosmic Shimmer Mist.  The Swirls are from a Marianne Die and cut in half.

This card is for my Father In law.  For the background I used a background sheet from one of the MCS CD's I have, this was matt and layered on an A5 card.  I embossed a peice of blue card and sandpapered over it this was matt and layered.  The Yacht is a stamp that has been coloured in using Spectrum Noirs and again matt and layered.

I hope you liked this little insight to just a tiny selection of cards that I have made recently.  I will share more soon.
