Zentangle

Since I last blogged I have completed another Jewellery making workshop in wire wrapping, we made a brooch and two rings.   I haven't taken any pictures of these yet so I will show and tell later on.

On the last card making workshop Carole & Amy's project for us was utilizing Zentangle with Dreamweaver Stencils.  I did start mine during the workshop but didn't actually finish it.

I must say that I find it relaxing tangling and am eager to do more.

This was made using the Dreamweaver Stencil  of a Hot Air Balloon.  Once I finished doing the Zentangle I cut around the image and matted on to black card, then a plain white card, I printed off a background square and matted that on to the spotted pattern paper, all this was then attached to a 6" x 6" white card base.  I used enamel accents by Inkssentials for the faux brads.

Dreamweaver stencil also used for this card and the same process as above was used except that I used some ribbon on the right hand side.

This I just had to do as I love Owls and anything to do with Owls.  A Dreamweaver stencil was used yet again and the same procedure as in the first card.  I  decided that this would be suitable for one of our nephews birthdays  this year.

I am hoping that I will get some time to play with the stencil some more, I would like to see how they turn out using different mediums and techniques.

Thank you for taking the time to read my blog,  keep watching this space for my next creations, see you again soon.

Jems Designs - Enigma CD and My Latest Jewellery Creations

Hello Everyone and a very warm welcome to my new followers.

I hope you are all well and finding some time for crafting, my mojo seems to have left me, I hope it's just temporary.

I have a couple of workshops this week, the first being Tuesday morning at Tanzee Designs in Wotton Under Edge http://tanzeedesigns.co.uk/, this is for Kumihimo with Beads, I just love Kumihimo braiding I find it really relaxing.

The next is Thursday evening with Amy (from Out of the Blue Gift Shop in Chipping Sodbury) http://craftylittleideas.blogspot.co.uk/  & Carole http://8thwonderart.blogspot.co.uk/ and this workshop is a Card Making Workshop, I wonder what delights Amy has in mind this month!  It will be the first session since November and I am looking forward to going.

Enigma CD, I printed off the basic hexagon card topper and used the second largest, I also printed off the basic quick card template and intended to use that, but changed my mind, I used Tonic Studio Corner Dies round the edges raising the butterflies, I added some glitter and a purple rose.  I also made a co-ordinating insert, unfortunately I forgot to take a photo.

This was my second card using the Enigma CD, this time I used the basic quick card and a topper, I decided I wanted a decorate edge and used some black lace, and of course glitter was used on the mask and flourish.

This is the insert for the card above, I used black peel offs for the Happy Birthday on the left and just cut out and layered the inseerts.

I apologise for the quality of the photography especially with the glare from the mirri card, perhaps I ought to take a photography course next.

This is the bracelet I made at the Kumihimo with Beads workshop this morning (14th Jan 2014).  I learnt lots of tips from Claire at Tanzee Designs.  Thank you.

This Shambala bracelet I started at the bead and natter morning at Tanzee Designs last Thursday.

I also started this Kumihimo necklace at the natter morning and finished it off at home over the weekend.

Hello Everyone,

I would like to wish you a very happy New Year, I hope that all your dreams and wishes come true and you have plenty of "crafting" time.

I haven't blogged for a while, too caught up with Christmas things, I made all my cards this year some of which I have shown on here.

I have lots of new craft things to play with this year and I just don't know where to start.  lol.

I have been dabbling in jewellery making over the last few months.

Some of these were christmas gifts for friends and family.

I also found time to alter some Christmas Scene's I had purchased as plain wood:

I purchased this as you see it, we thought it was a bit bare, so I just had to have a play.  LOL
This was the scene after I had added some more greenery and snow and ice.  This scene lights up unfortunately that picture didn't turn out very well.

This was the small scene, I had already started by colouring the trees, before I took the photo.

This was after I had put on some other bits of greenery and some snow & ice.

This is the small scene light up, we thought they looked very effective.

I have been card making as well and these I will show shortly.

Happy crafting.
